Postnatal yoga is a safe and intimate space where new mamas can take much needed time for themselves and find a supportive community of fellow new mothers. The yoga flows are designed to protect new mamas from injury whilst strengthening the pelvic floor and core muscles after giving birth. We lovingly nurture our bodies back into shape!
Unless there is a medical contraindication, new moms can start this class 6 weeks after giving birth. It is an all levels class, where alternative poses can be given to ensure that each new mother can safely re-build their muscles, regardless of their yoga experience or level of fitness.
Babies are welcome!
Please wear (or bring along) light, comfortable stretchy clothes suitable for sport as well as your own yoga mat and towel. As we do not wear shoes inside the yoga room, you are welcome to bring non-slip socks or slippers for moving about safely when not on your yoga mat.
