For future, pregnant and newly postpartum mothers with their babies.
What if preparing for birth — and navigating early motherhood — could feel joyful, embodied, and deeply connected?
Mama Dance is a gentle yet empowering class designed for both future, pregnant and newly postpartum mothers. Rooted in the Dancing for Birth™ approach, it invites you to move, breathe, and grow in tune with your body, your baby, and a supportive community. Whether you are planning to become a parent, expecting a baby or have recently birthed, the class nurtures a sense of belonging while supporting the oxytocin and other helpful hormones that promote wellbeing in this transformative time.
Each session adapts to the needs of the group and progressively builds over time. Together we explore relaxation, connection to self, baby and community, mindfulness reflections to build confidence, stretching and warm-up, comfort measures for birth and postpartum recovery, and feminine wisdom rituals. Feel-good fitness naturally flows through the class with a blend of structured and unstructured movement inspired by Eastern, Latin, African, and Caribbean dances — helping you rediscover intuitive movement and trust in your body’s innate wisdom.
Mama Dance is a space to strengthen, restore, and reconnect — physically, emotionally, and socially. Pregnant and postpartum mothers alike benefit from the grounding, energizing, and confidence-building practices woven into every session. Babies are warmly welcome, adding an extra layer of bonding and joy, and partners are invited to join if desired.
We recommend joining a series of classes to fully experience the benefits of Mama Dance. Each session builds on the last, helping you deepen your connection with your body, your baby, and the supportive community around you.
Whether you come for movement, preparation, recovery, or community, Mama Dance welcomes you exactly as you are.
Important: The classes can only take place if a minimum of 4 participants have been reached.
